Federal Ministry of Education and Research
Through education, we prepare ourselves and our children for the challenges of a rapidly changing, highly globalized world. Research helps us discover new things and make known things better. After all, education and research are the foundations on which we build our future in a world of change. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research is divided into eight departments that reflect these priorities. As part of the development of the Minimum Viable Product of the BMBF's National Networking Infrastructure for Education, enmeshed forms an infrastructure for secure data transfer and storage between learners, teachers and educational institutions as a component of the "repository" component.
S4Campus AG
We specialize in digitization as well as process and IT consulting for universities and vocational academies. Since 2008, we have been supporting the digitization of campus management processes in German-speaking countries. We advise on the introduction of campus management systems, implement and adapt to individual requirements. For smaller universities or university associations, we also offer cloud solutions as software-as-a-service (SaaS). As a manufacturer of campus management software, we actively support standardization in the OZG environment.
SAP University Competence Center (UCC)
The SAP University Competence Center at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg is the world's largest cloud computing center for SAP education & research. Founded in 2001, it is a service provider for over 700 educational institutions in 80 countries, including 331 in Germany. We have many years of experience in topics such as highly scalable cloud applications for education, federated identity management systems, self-sovereign digital identity, user-oriented data storage and communication (data sovereignty) and scenario-based user guidance
OZG Cluster
The Online Access Act (OZG) is also explicitly aimed at universities and schools as well as institutions of further education and presents them with new challenges. As part of the OZG Education Cluster, j&s-soft GmbH supports universities in planning and implementing their OZG project in a future-proof manner.
BIRD Lab
BIRD is a project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research to develop a prototype of the National Education Platform. BIRD plays a special role in the funding framework, in which around 60 other projects are being funded. The BIRD Lab acts as an incubator as well as a teaching and learning demonstrator. From the combination of research and practice, it is hoped to gain scientific insights into data protection, data security, federated identity management, self-sovereign data management, digital wallets and secure communication.
